Camera Bits 25th Anniversary Announcement and Tales from the Super Bowl

Update: The flash 25th Anniversary Sale is now over! Thank you everyone

Twenty-five years ago, on February 1, Dennis Walker had an idea to help photographers and editors to be able to get work done in the burgeoning era of digital photography. In recognition of that, Dennis shared some reminiscences (and classic hardware) in this video message that also included a special announcement:

We’re celebrating 25 years of Camera Bits on Feb 1, 2021 with a one-day sale of 25% off Photo Mechanic 6, both new licenses and upgrades.. On top of that, Camera Bits is donating 25,000 meals to folks in need through the non-profit organization Feeding America.

Yes, that is a Kodak DCS460, the 6-megapixel beast from 1995 in Dennis’ hands. It was able to shoot one frame per every 12 seconds in continuous mode, and was priced at launch for $35,600. Wow!

Photo Mechanic Plus is available for $329 for a new license and $160 for an upgrade from Photo Mechanic 6.
